REVIEW: This Is Where The World Ends

 Ok, so I was quite excited to read this book but well this wasn't that book I have been waiting for.

This book is a ridiculously melodramatic and metaphorical contemporaryfocusing on a teenage girl who is constantly throwing a pity party for herself.

I really couldn't stand Janie. She was a pretentious and self absorbed main character. She friendzoned her best friend, Micah, who was secretly in love with her and whom Janie secretly loved back. She hurt him over and over by choosing to date a jerk and completely ignoring Micah.

If Janie and Micah loved each other so much, I don't understand why they didn't just ask each other out. They could have saved themselves so much unnecessary drama if they had just been honest with one another.


Yet I think what lost me most was perhaps the character and the dynamics of their relationship. But then again, maybe it was the lack of plot, because let's face it: the whole time we are just waiting to find out what really did happen to Janie. But back to the characters, ahh... I just couldn't connect with any of them. And that, my friends, is a HUGE problem.

Janie is eccentric, wildly whimsical, and to be honest I kept picturing her as a child in maybe middle school, not a teenager in high school. She's incredibly callow and naive, and absolutely preposterous. Sure, she was a "fun" character, but her level of immaturity was a little off kilter and the way she abused her friendship with Micah made me like her that much less. Speaking of Micah, he was such a hopelessly-in-love pushover, and I'm just not a fan of those character types either. 

Lastly, I just need to talk about that ending, because... what? That's it? No, seriously. Was that really it? That's how we end books now? Just stop it where ever without coming to a conclusion, without attempting to wrap it up. Um. Okay. I guess.



I was left disappointed. It's not a bad book, but there were a lot of problems for me. Given the rating it has and if you're interested in reading it, go at it not knowing anything and don't have any high expectations. 

REVIEW: Being Miss Nobody

A big thank you to Usborne for sending me an ARC of this book. I am glad that I got this and loved this book to the  core.

This book is about eleven years old Rosalind, who suffers from Selective Mutism. This story is about her at new secondary school and her dealing with everything that comes with it. Its about friendship , loss, finding sanctuary and all in all how to be brave.

This story had a pretty realistic portrayal about SM, although i didn't know about it much prior to this book. But this was heartbreaking to hear from the mind of someone who actually suffer from it. To see their struggle in every day to day life and the frustration that comes up with it.

So as Rosalind changes school and enters the new environment she is met with so many difficulties and hardship. And having SM doesn't help and children in schools sometimes can be downright mean. Being fed up and out raged by all the treatment and bullying, Rosalind is inspired to start a blog "Miss Nobody".


Rozzie was a lovely, strong 11-year-old, and her character arc was brilliantly etched. We see how she takes baby steps in dealing with her anxiety, and towards the end especially, we see her learn and grow tremendously from her mistakes. I loved seeing everything unfold through her eyes, and immediately took to her voice. 


I don't know how to explain much more of this book without giving it away. It will make you laugh, cry, empathise and love, and I hope that lots of young people pick this book up and devour it like I did.



I have so many thoughts in my head but words are not coming out, like I do not know how to explain that this is an incredible book in every aspect.

REVIEW: THE ALICE NETWORK

I am glad you sended this book to me. Historic fiction is my new favourite  genre. And after reading this book I am totally looking up for some more books on the same genre.
Kate Quinn is also on top of my favorite authors list.


The Alice Network is an utterly amazing book taking place during WW. Where some women put themselves in grave danger to collect information that allies could use to defeat Germany.

I enjoyed each and every character in this book. Character development was amazing from naive Charlie  to delicious Finn.
Quin's signature humor was abundant.


Charlie is pregnant unwed mother after WW2. She is struggling with the loss of her father, her bother and her cousin and she has no idea what she is going to do with her Little Problem.

 Her parents want her to get rid of Little Problem  and everything gets normal but Charlie does not wants this. She meets Eve.
Eve might know what happened to Rose.


The story than revolves around when Eve was a spy in France in WW.
The story keeps the readers on edge wanting to know what will happen next.

This book not only made me laugh but cry too.It was truly a page turner for me.

Every word in this book was precious to me. Every scene was brilliantly depicted. In simple words this book lives, breathes, teaches, inspires and endures.

Whole heartedly I  would recommend this book to everyone of you. Quin has no doubt delivered level of creativity, depth and authentic humor emotion that caught me entirely off guard.

At the end I would  just say I LOVED this book.

If there is ever a moment that you think your life is hard, pick up this book for an insight into the dark side of humanity. 


This was an incredible book about a cult leader's power and control. Moonbeam is a great character, vulnerable yet brave, scared yet fearless and slowly the story unravels with some twists and turns along the way. 

The sensitive subject matter was handled with great care and I was engrossed in this book from start to finish.



The story is narrated by a young girl Moonbeam. She is no doubt brave of all the characters.Every character in the book was so developed. I loved the character of Nate too and how it was connected to Moonbeam.

Told through the eyes of Moonbeam, a teenager whose father persuaded her mother to join the group, we learn how her faith turns to doubt when Father John overthrows Father Patrick as the head of the cult. From that moment on, everyone's life is severely restricted. Those who leave are seen as non believers, those who remain mainly do so out of fear. Moonbeam's mother is banished from the group as she does not believe Father John is the prophet. Unable to take her daughter with her, Moonbeam is left to face the challenges within the cult on her own and starts to lose her faith as she sees how manipulative Father John is and how unfair punishments are handed out even to the very youngest members of the group.

The compound is stormed by government forces, all the adults are shot dead and only Moonbeam and a few of the children survive. With psychological help from Doctor Hernandez and FBI Agent Carlyle, Moonbeam slowly reveals what life was like living in the cult and by doing so, she starts to come to terms with her situation despite the fact she has been brainwashed into believing that everyone who lives outside of the compound is evil. 
Overall, this book is highly recommended to readers of any genre. It’s dark and moving and entirely captivating.

Review: Black Moon

  Black Moon is the third book in the broken triolgy and  no doubt I loved this book.

What can I say ? There were so many twists in just a single plot.
The character of  Amity was so brave and courageous I just loved her. On the other hand Ingo was so cute and brave too.

Their chemistry was amazing.
one of the main things that made this book good was the fact the author actually showed that killing someone has a massive effect on the person mentally. i'm just tired of authors who make characters kill people and then they just carry on with life as if nothing happened. i just feel like weathers really pulled off all the mental aspects of this book. 

and of course, there was endless twists and turns. collie sent me on one hell of a rollercoaster and his character arc was spectacular.




And yes I did cried in the end. Such a great ending to an amazing series.

I cannot describe how much i loved this book. I really really LOVED this book.
There were so many emotions so many feelings in it. From laughing out loud to i cried too while reading it.
Not only this i also got to know what OCD really is, and how can it make a person feel like.
This book was also an example of true friendship.

To be honest i freaking loved this book, it was so so interesting.
And yes Kuddos to Holly Bourne for writing such a great book and talking on about those topics which people really do not talk about usually.
You are one of my favourite author now.

And yes this is also one of the most REALISTIC book i have read so far and one of the best book i have read in 2016 so far.

Can't wait to dive in other two books of the series.

HOW HARD CAN LOVE BE :

After reading Am I normal yet ? I had a lot of expectations from the second book in the series.

And no doubt, Holly Bourne did it again. She writes so well. It was such a cute and funny YA book.
I totally loved Lottie how she gives lectures on things and in such a nice way that there were things that I learned from Lottie too.

I totally loved Amber there were so many emotions attached with her character. How she went all through the things in her childhood and all. How can i forget Kyle ? I loved him too.

The best thing in the book was the relationship of Amber with her friends. They don't judge her, they understand her and i just loved this thing. She had genuine friends !

To be honest Holly Bourne blew me away again. She writes what she feels and thats the best thing I like about her.

Now i need to read the third book in the series.

WHAT'S A GIRL GOTTA DO ?

Holly Bourne how do you do this ? Like how ?
The first two books in the series were so good. But I loved Lottie from the start because she always wanted to change everything, and this book was no doubt such an amazing read.

This book is a complete package of fun and teenage drama. From laughing out loud to I cried too reading the book. But at every point this book made me strong.

Characters of the book are so well described, the lead female character Lottie is fearless and will speak against sexism no matter what.
Evie and Amber her two best friends which are always there for her no matter what. Megan her new friend whom Lottie helped to fight and showed that girls are strong.

Every page of this book speaks about feminism and thats what I loved the most.
Holly is no doubt one of my favourite authors and she speaks so well. This book is a must read for every teenage girl out there.

No doubt, I loved the cover of the book. Everything is so good about this book. It is truly an inspiring story which Holly has written.

I can not wait for the fourth book to be released in the series.

First of all a big thank you to Usborne for sending me an advance review copy of this book. I have read all the books in Spinster club series and loved each and every book. I was excited and sad at the same time because at one hand I was going to finish the series and at an other I did not wanted to end these amazing series. It was a great ending to the series, just wished it would have been a little longer. I was so happy to read what happened with Amber, Lottie and Evie. I would encourage anyone of any age to read this series and I guarantee you will relate to at least one of the three girls and not many series are able to do that! Even though the ending was perfect I would totally read more novellas about the spinster club reuniting and meeting up... This was one of my fav series. Holly Bourne you are amazing ! Yes, I would recommend this book to everyone out there. Go and READ this book if you haven't

Review : Instructions for a second hand heart

This book revolves around two teenagers, Jonny and Niamh. Jonny is hospitalized, awaiting a new heart, whilst relying on Berlin Heart to be alive. Niamh is always in the shadow of Leo who is her older twin brother. Their lives intertwined when Jonny finally received his new heart from the death of Niamh's twin brother, Leo.

Obviously there many emotional aspects to this book. Dealing with terminally ill children and children who loose their lives is always going to be emotional but that is not the main aspect of this novel, so if you are worried about it being a morbid look at death and cancer and the like, then you need not fear! As I've mentioned above, these characters have a respect for life that so many of us forget about because of how close they have come to loss, but this doesn't mean either that this book is all about the completion of bucket lists and living life to the full. It is more about an attitude and a mind set than an about any actual thing. 



This is a storyline that will bring a lump to your throat and maybe even a tear to your eye. It is an emotional read but one that is also full of hope and also brings awareness to the importance of organ donations which is something I think we should all be aware of from a younger age. I really enjoyed this book and it had a quick pace too so I read it in one sitting and I am sure many more people will find they are unable to put it down too.

Tamsyn Murray has poured her heart and soul into this book and it speaks through the writing. Just when you think you can’t cry anymore, something else comes along to tip you off, until you’re an emotional wreck.
